I have just borrowed an ebook (pdf) through Overdrive but am unable to read it. There is no "read in browser" button and if I click on the "download" button I get an error message saying unable to download, elicense already fulfilled by another user.

Here is the answer:

Unfortunately not all titles have the OverDrive Read format available.

 

The error mentioned below occurs when you try to open an eBook that's registered to a different Adobe ID.

 

If you want to read an eBook on a different device or computer, please make sure that your new device or computer uses the same Adobe ID as the one used when originally downloading the title.

 

To resolve this error, clear the Adobe ID you're currently using from your computer or device (iOS, Android, Windows 8, or Windows Phone), then authorize your computer or device (iOS, Android, Windows 8, Windows Phone, or supported eBook reader) with the Adobe ID you originally used to download the eBook.
