Hi there Meredith,

Here are some ideas for you:

Canada and It's Trading Partners is a unit study that has been ordered for our Overdrive Library in PDF format. This will really help you. Just check back in a day or two and it should be there.

In the L4U library we have the following:

Discovering Canada’s Trading Partners in the L4U library here:
And then for Child Labour there is:
Factory Girl in the L4U library by Barbara Greenwood - even though it is set in the Industrial Revolution - I think this really does put into perspective what it is like to be a child in a factory.
Days of Toils and Tears is another one in the L4U library that is again in the Industrial Revolution.
